“I’m from Scotland and love living in Italy and love what I do. I believe that if a child finds it hard to learn in class then it is up to us to facilitate learning by teaching in ways that can help them to learn. I love technology and using it as a learning and motivational tool. I totally believe that creating the right atmosphere is so important, not only in the classroom but also in the workplace. I also work as a singer-songwriter and I’m always singing, even when I teach!”

“Hello! I’m David, a new teacher at the Pontedera School. I’m very happy to be part of this friendly school. I’m originally from London and now I live in Quattro Strade, close to Pontedera. In my free time I like riding my bike in the countryside and exploring new towns and sights in the tuscan region.”

“I’m Matteo! Having lived for many years in Oxford, England I came back to Italy where I married my beautiful English wife and now we live in Pontedera. I love cooking and food (I lived and worked in Denmark as a chef for a short time), football, both watching and playing. I can often be found training hard for my 11 a side and 7 a side teams. I’m also young at heart as my passion for video games still burns bright! I love being able to share my knowledge of English and enthusiasm for teaching with my students.”

“Hi, I’m Giusy and I’m a new teacher.
I’m from Enfield, a little town in the north of London, but now I live in Bientina with my Italian husband and my daughter. I have taught for many years all around Tuscany and I have realized that teaching is my life and in class with my students, I also have the possibility to learn and understand new things every day. My motto is “never stop learning”. I adore walking in the countryside, listening to great music, reading good books and travelling with my family.”
